The Osbourne family is back in the limelight with a new show, “Osbournes: Reloaded” (Tuesday at 9 pm ET/PT on Fox), and already with—surprise, surprise—a bit of controversy. During a recent press conference, mom Sharon Osborne lashed out at a reporter who questioned the Osbournes’ suitability to participate in a “family-oriented” show due to their own history with drug and alcohol addiction.
That must be the most ridiculous question I have ever been asked in my entire career,” Sharon shot back. “I've taken real offense, because you know why? We're real people. And probably half of the people watching our show, they have someone in their family who has a problem with alcohol and drugs.”
More than 22 million Americans struggle with addiction to alcohol and other drugs, yet fewer than ten percent receive the treatment they need because of stigma, lack of awareness or cost.
Sharon’s daughter, Kelly, 24, recently completed treatment for addiction to prescription painkillers and son Jack, 23, has struggled with alcoholism. Sober for six years, Sharon calls Jack a "beacon of hope to every young person in this country who is struggling with addiction." Rocker dad Ozzy Osbourne has also long been outspoken about his past drug and alcohol addiction.
"I am really angry,” Sharon continued. “All my family are examples of being truthful about their condition and working though it and trying to better themselves.”

I DIDNOT KNOW THE OSBOURNE’S WERE COMING BACK. I LOVE WATCHING THEM. I AM SO HAPPY FOR KELLY AND JACK. I TRY TO GET MY SON WHO IS 22 YEARS OLD TO WATCH THE SHOW BECAUSE OF KELLY AND JACK BECAUSE I KNEW THEY WOULD FIND THEM SELF. I CAN ONLY PRAY MY SON FINDS HIMSELF SOON HE IS HURTING SO BAD, IT IS SO HARD TO SEE YOUR ONLY CHILD HURTING SO MUCH AND I TRY TO HELP BUT, WITHOUT THE INSURANCE IT IS VERY HARD. IT TAKES MONEY TO GET TO THE RIGHT DOCTORS FOR A START. HE WAS GIVEN A LEBEL AT THE AGE OF 4 WITH A.D.H.D WITH ALL HE WENT THOUGH WITH ALL THE MEDS. AND DOCTORS HE HAS GIVEN UP I DID EVERYTHING I COULD DO.I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON HIM.I JUST WISH I COULD FIND SOMEONE WHO REALLY CARES WHO CAN HELP HIM.

I believe in the sign’s,sight’s ,sound & smell’s are as prevalent as they were in the 60’s & the 70’s. politic’s,sex ,religeon & this time absent from the clouded drug haze of the past.We can be as prolific and proptiate the time even in the mind . If capured can it materialize, w/ desire & intent, can you dig it? Desire & intent are good ,action is demanded now to save the flavor. Help each other rather than hurt, stop flip’n the bird & put up the peace symbol. Allow your freak flag to fly & stop tearing other’s down

I think the Osbourne’s Have a right & duty, a oblication & responsibility to do there show “osbournes reloaded” in that they know from experience to witness & minister in a way. This is provided there not currently practicing in there addiction. an individual can relapse an seek help, that’s the difference to not seeking help.I’m alway’s recovering from addiction & practice what i preach. I have an 8 yr old & every day tell my son about the harmful effect’s of drug’s,alcohol & cigaretts too. If you dont use, no healing process necessary. We all need to educate early. Praise the osbourne’s if ,if there clean! Kevin Pfaunmiller
